Re: Topic: Attn Radium : Reaktor as DX plugin
It was well worth the wait, but now I can't seem to get Reaktor
to work as a directx plugin. It doesn't show among the plugins in any
prog that uses dx plugs. Am I doing something wrong or is it a common
problem? I also heard that the Reaktor manual only exists in printed form.
At the moment I am trying to locate it through a school in sound design.
As soon as I have found it I will turn it into HTML and keep you informed,
so you could maybe include it in an updated version or something.
Answer : You are correct, Reaktor 2.04 does not have
a DX plugin. (this is the same as the original) There was some text from
Native Instruments saying the DX part is still 'coming soon'. As for the
manual.. yes its too bad NI made absolutely no online help. A program
this complex really needs something that is keyword searchable. YES..
im sure everyone would appreciate if someone turned it into an online
form. :) I think PDF would be a little easier though - much of the scan
> OCR > PDF process can be automated with Adobe Acrobat Capture.

Re: Attn Radium: Reaktor bug report
When trying to run user ensembles or instruments that i have downloaded
from NI's website, i get an installation error. Is this related to the
key protection NI is now using, or another fault with the program?
Since there seems to be a little confusion on this i'll expand on
what was printed in the Reaktor NFO. All of the ensembles and instruments
on the cd and NI website are encrypted. When we released Reaktor we decided
to decrypt the entire cd library so the download would be smaller (55
Mb as opposed to 160 Mb). We figured 160 Mb was a lot for a modem
user who just wants to see what Reaktor does. For people with more bandwidth
and who wanted they keyfile, we released the ISO image. Some people have
asked - 'do i REALLY need the ISO?'. I would say its not really recommended
unless you are on a T1 line. Other than the keyfile, there are no extra
goodies or manuals on the ISO that the rip didn't have. :)
So to get back to your question, you would get that 'installation
error' when you try and load an encrypted ensemble but donut have the
100 Mb keyfile. Btw, there aren't really as many Reaktor ensembles on
the NI website as you might think - on our last calculation they totaled
less than 12 Mb.

Re: Cdxtract RADIUM ? Hmm
Hey! Akai CDXtract is a powerfull utitlttes for conwert AKAI Discs
to SF2 ! But dont crack
The cost for Akai CDXtract is $52 which falls below the $60 limit
we set and promised to go by. So you wont be seeing a release of CDXtract
from Radium. Btw, a few groups have made CDXtract releases (CORE, TMG,
HLM) but as of yet, none of them - including their 'keymakers' - work
fully.

Re: Attn: Radium (CD Architect install problems)
I tried to install Radium's CD Architect and got a message that
Sound Forge does not appear to be installed on my computer. I have a registered
copy of Sound Forge 4.5 that is on my computer, but I can't get the install
program to recognize it....help??
We'll try and help. Can you give a few more specifics? What exact
version / release of soundforge and what version of CD Architect?
to: everyone :)
Seems there is someone posting to the newsgroups pretending
they are Radium. Just to clear any confusion that might result, you will
never see Radium post or reply directly to newsgroups. Any that you see
you can be sure are fake. The only posts you will see from Radium will
be in the form of these html chats.
Communication FAQ (new
or updated text is in red)
Q : Does Radium have email, website or visit chat groups?
A : No
Q : How can someone get a message to Radium?
A : We periodically read messages in the Newgroup ABSUD. (Alt.Binaries.Sounds.Utities.D)
Please put 'ATTN Radium :' in the subject line.
Q : How would Radium reply?
A : We will never post replys directly to newsgroups. The only place you
will see a Radium reply is in this Radiumchat.htm file that is included
with releases. We would be grateful if someone (anyone)
would 'repost' each radiumchat.htm file to the absud newsgroup. (We won't
be posting it there ourselves for security reasons.) Please post as an
html file attachment if possible.
Q : What if the message is private?
A : Use PGP to encode
the message. Our public key is at the very end of this radiumchat. **Be
sure to also include YOUR public PGP key with any post.** (otherwise we
cant read the message or reply to you!):)
Q : If we post our public key wont everyone be able to read the messages?
A : No. Here's a quick intro - When you first run PGP you will be prompted
to create a key PAIR (use RSA 2048 for your key.) You will then have a
Public and a Private key. To communicate with someone you will both need
to know each others PUBLIC key. Other parties wont be able to read it
because they don't have your individual PRIVATE keys.
Although we will read every post, our time is limited and we will only
be able to reply here occasionally. Also please don't expect replys for
questions like 'Where can i get X, When will X be released, etc'
